Montana Visit September 2009
I thought I would start my blog with a few comments and photos from our recent trip to Montana.
We went for the wedding of the son, of our friends from Holland, which made it not only a wedding but also a reunion, as we haven't seen them in 5 years since we moved to the US.
We flew to Great Falls in Montana, which was about a 5 hour drive from where we needed to be in Whitefish, (on the way back we flew from Kalispell a 15 minute drive.
On the way there we stopped off to get some food, as we left I noticed this wonderful day spa, which I thought looked so luxurious I just had to grab a photo. Just in case anyone wants to go.
We drove through flat landscape, mountain passes, flanked by glacier country, and even Indian Reservations, and eventually we reached our destination of Whitefish, a log cabin of three floors, sleeping five families on this particular occasion.
It was late when we arrived at our "cabin" so we didn't see too much of the outside, but when we did the view was well worth the wait.
Sandie Crisman A few facts about who I am . . . I was born in Scotland many, many, many years ago, lived in the Netherlands for 16 years, 6 years in PA. 1 year in AL now living in Clearwater FL as of June 2011 ...I am married to an AWESOME man who puts up with my crafting addiction. I have three daughters, Jacquie 38, Diane 37, and Siobhan 24, one son Stuart 35, the three eldest kids live in the Netherlands with my four grandchildren (Yvano 6, Maudi 8, Micky 12, and Conner 7), my youngest Siobhan lives with me. I also have three step kids Kyra, Laura and Michelle and one step grandbaby Bethany, and Kyra is expecting her second in September.
I have been scrap booking for about six years, now I'm gonna be working full time, not sure how much time I will have, (have to find a scrapbooking store too...what is my style mmmm I prefer simple clean lines with one or two pics, but I will try anything, on a layout or challenge, because it stretches me to think outside of my box.
