Heyy we are back

Finally we have begun scrapping again... we went to a one day crop invited by a very nice lady Angie, to meet her scrapping friends, and that is how it goes. A new circle has begun.

My friends from Dothan are making a road trip here in March it would be so nice if we could combine everyone.

Anyway here are some of the pages that Siobhan and I did, I did not have my photos that I wanted to use with me as they were delayed in shipping so I photographed them without, they now all have photos attached.

This weekend I went to see my husband who is working in San Antonio, it was a nice weekend, even though he was working, and it was rainy and cold, I was glad to get back to the 78 degrees that was Florida.

Well my weekend has started.. strange huh.. to have a Tuesday and Wednesday for your weekend. my plans take some pics, do some scrapping (yes scrapping) and clean my floors.

Sorry abou the pictures of Whimsadoodle, I took them with my phone and don't know how to get them to my computer. Next time I will take my camera.

Lately I have been very lazy, and haven't been doing any scrapping but hopefully that will change.

This weekend Danny Farquhar the son of Beatriz and Steve, was playing Major League Baseball for the Toronto Blue Jays against the Tampa Rays, he got to pitch in the eighth inning he got a strike against the Rays his first in the Major League, Danny was fantastic, we went to see him afterwards and Valerie took some pics, he gave his dad his ball used in the strike, I was very emotional, and Beatriz was very excited, to be understood, her baby......

Joey and Siobhan had a wonderful time at the game also.

Since coming to Tampa I have been working as a planner, at Pemco who also have branches in Dothan and Cincinnati (and Japan), this is an MRO facility which is Maintenance, repair and Overhall, we maintain and repair planes from Jet Blue, United, Global and Northwest among others. I coordinate with the customer and our Production Teams, to schedule down time for the planes and make a flow chart (and Milestone chart) of the work to be done, for each individual type of check, this is then maintained and updated twice a day.

No- no layouts..... sorry, when I got back from the UK I found out I was moving to Clearwater, Hubby is working in Tampa and I'm gonna be working there too as of Monday.

I am excited about the change in status, but I'm also sad at leaving people behind. There is so much to do, apart from unpacking, but finding where things are such as grocery stores etc..... to finding a church.

Keith and I are going to be sharing an office/scrappy room, so we will have to see how that works out, I guess once we empty the room of boxes that will be a start.

Anyway, I will keep you informed of the (slow) progress and send pics when ready...

Off to London for the Royal Wedding... except they forgot to send my invite, oh well just have to watch with my sister and my Mum.

A little scared to drive to Atlanta and find the extended parking and get through security with my new knee, oh well results should be worth it.

Its been a while

Wow I just typed a whole page, and with a quick flick it was gone, don't you just hate that.

After hubby losing his job, he was working in Jacksonville, I was working myself up no end, and didn't want to move there, when oops... the job was finished and he came home. I have decided wherever God wants me to be is where I will be, now he is working in Tampa, so if thats where I need to be then that is where I will be moving to.

In between the lady I nursed, passed away, it left a hole in my heart, which surprised me after a few short months, but it was a privelege to have known her.

This week, my dear friend Beatriz, had a mini stroke, on Monday, which gave me a scare, the thought of losing her was very frightening, but praise God she will have no lasting effects.

I haven't done a lot of scrapping recently, I will try to get posted what I have done, before I leave for the UK on Monday. What I have been doing is working on my art journal which seems to be easier to pick up and work on, perhaps because I do not have any new photos, which should be solved by my little break.

Today is my anniversary, so I was sad I couldn't be with my husby, in fact I am not even gonna see him till I get back from London...

My life is so upside down right now... I haven't done any scrapbooking, I did take some pics at the Azealea Trail in Dothan which I drove together with Priscilla and Emma Sunday 27th

It was beautiful.....

My husband lost his job, found one in Jacksonville, I was so unhappy about moving there.. then he came home, to God be the Glory, now we have to wait and find out what plans have been made for us now.

The lady I look after is also not doing very well, which makes me feel very sad, and I have become very attached to her, and hate to see her struggling.

Because I have been so uncertain, I haven't been doing any scrapbooking, but I have been working on my Art Journal now and again, I will try to take some pictures of that to blog about.

What a busy week I have had, first Joey and Siobhan moved into there own place, which would have been nice, if Keith hadn't had to leave last Sunday to start his new job in Jacksonville. I also had most of the week off from work, as the lady I look after her daughter was over from Japan.
I was getting emotional at the thought of leaving my friends so I made a mini Album.... photos to come

Recently Hobby Lobby opened in our town, and you would not believe how busy it is, at all hours of the day and evening... last week we had a crop there, and it was so nice to see old friends:- Cathy, Linda, Linda Joy, Deidre, Beatriz, Donna and some of her Stampin up ladies, I had a lovely day, and it was such fun to scrap with them all.

My daughter Siobhan is moving out, she and her partner Joey are moving on to the next stage of her life, a home of their own... she had a mellow moment the other day and made me a Layout, (with her as a baby) along with a very sweet letter, which I am keeping attached to the LO but not on show, it brought a tear to my eye.

Last weekend me and my hubs went to Pensacola, we had breakfast - Cracker Barrel at 2pm, visited the NAS Museum, where my hubby had much fun, explaining to me (a technically challenged person), how aircraft engines work, drove to Destin, where we visited the hard rock cafe, bought a T shirt for Keith, had dinner (not to be recommended) and drove home, here are some pics of our day ( I must have taken about a hundred).

Yesterday me and my hubs were both at home on the same day, yoohoo!! so we decided to have a day out went to Pensacola and the NAS museum, then to Destin to get a Hard Rock Cafe T shirt... we had fun, photos to be scrapped at a later date.

Lots of things have been happening to me just lately that haven't been very nice, the worst of which was my husband losing his job.

I am not worried about him finding another one, but I am worried about where it will be. which will mean me uprooting again. I know there is a plan for me, and just because I may not agree with it, doesn't mean its not gonna happen.

So getting up this morning and seeing this tree in blossom, made me smile.

I wanted to scrap a picture someone took of a dear friend and myself, because she has been fighting for her life this week, after some routine out patient surgery. I do not get to see her as ofter as I would like, which makes me feel bad, that I do not manage to make time enough for all my friends who are a gift from God, for which I am grateful.

Had a lovely day yesterday with Cathy and her 'ladies' made the love village taught by the wonderful Beatriz, every class is a joy, to take.

The atmosphere there was so welcoming and relaxing, thanks Cathy and the ladies and thanks Bea.

Here are a few layouts, one is the one I taught Priscilla, my version completed, a Christmas Layout using part of the kit from Paper Niche, and the Love Village (my version) that Bea taught.

Haven't hd time to post this week, why not you may ask and I will tell you.... I have been Granny Sitting, well actually its more like Patient Care, friends of mine at church asked if I was available to help out with his Mother, her mother in law who had had a fall, she lives with her daughter, who would contact me, well after about four days (she had written down the wrong number) she called and I have been working every day since last Sunday.

The poor lady is very sweet, unfortunately bed ridden and incontinent, its been a long, long time since I did work like this and it's pretty heavy going sometimes. Also I haven't worked in 9 months at all, and had the kne replacement in July before hand I was in an office, so I have been wiped out, my back has been playing up, as have knees, and some other muscles I had forgotton about. The one thing I have done scrapbooking wise is finish off a lot of layouts, I got pictures printed and tomorrow (my day off) I will photograph and blog. You will have seen some of them before, but not completed.

My neighbor Pricilla (or Buuf, short for Buurvrouw, as she is Dutch and that means neighbor), came over for me to teach her some scrappin' ... here is what she did I am so proud of her.

I was experimenting with a single color Layout Background.... White!! it was difficult, so many things are not white, and actually the embellishments I used are white but they are showing up as cream, I think because of the flash... anyway here it is, and for those of you who are interested the photo shows my Mum as a young woman, with my gran and grandad (papa) at the home I grew up at 127 West Bridgend.. the house was split in two with an upstairs where we lived and a downstairs this photo was taken downstairs by the neighbours door.

Got together with a few friends yesterday for a while to do some scrapping, although I am very lazy and haven't got my Christmas photos developed .. I did a couple of double page layouts one where I will put Siobhan and Joeys surprise gift pics

and one Layout for a pic of Keith (my Santa)...

the other Layout I did was Roxie who loves to play with a softball

We had a lovely Christmas and New Year, quiet but thats sometimes the best, my daughter Siobhan had a bad start and yesterday evening, fell and hit her back on a table (yes, she was sober) so she's a little banged up.

My first Layout is an interactive.. it has a booklet attached, has five pockets inside, and photos on the inside covers.

I have to let you know about this...Last Thursday my Aunt in Scotland, had a small procedure (colonoscopy) during which she had a Myocardial infarct, she was rushed to another Hospital and was in Intensive Care, she has been unresponsive to treatment.... now, our church has early morning prayer, and I am usually there, but I don't pray out loud. Yesterday morning, the Holy Spirit prompted me to pray (out loud) for my Aunt, (and my Mom who was obviously also distressed)..... I called my Mom last night, and guess what my Aunt was sitting up in bed and her color was a great deal better, she has a ways to go but is obviously much improved. Miracles happen... to God be the Glory.

Isn't it a wonderful time of the year.. I love it, apart from the madness in the stores, and people getting upset because the thing their kid really wanted, is out of stock everywhere... for me it is about giving, not just at home, but as with my friend Priscilla, getting clothes and blankets together for the homeless, we are all one one job short of being in the same position, she also went yesterday and donated some milk from Working Cows Dairy to the food kitchen.

My work last weekend pretty box huh, I made the flower on the top too

and when the box is opened, the sides are not fixed so that you can add photos, isn't it cute.

Oh well here we go again.

I hate the cold, I know I have a cheek to say I feel cold (50's) in Alabama, when I have lived in the North of Scotland, and in the cold icy winds of the Netherlands, and even from last year and the 68 inches of snow in Pennsylvania. I think the metal in my knee just doesn't like it. Well Thursday should take us back up to the 60's (temp to years), yayyy

My Cricut has been lying dormant for a long while, Siobhan (my daughter) has used it and I have used it on rare occasions, to do a title or two, but for some strange reason, I haven't used it much, or enough... today I am using it, Every Day Paper Dolls, I am making a baby girl Layout. I cut out the baby faces which had holes in them for the eyes and mouth, but they looked silly, then I cut the heads out in blackout and drew in the faces, UGH!! does anyone have any idea how I can get eyes, nose, mouth on the heads without them looking demented, normally I am pretty good at drawing and painting but these babies are driving me crazy......any ideas would be welcome, so post yours (ideas that is) and give me some ideas, tips, criticism (yes I know they look demented) or otherwise.

Had a lovely time Scrappin' on Saturday with some wonderful friends, what can I say these times spent together, although not often, are sooo precious. Anyway its about the longest time I have spent scrapping since before my op, so that is also good news. I got about six Lo's done, plus something interactive, to add to a page. Got to spread this out a bit so here are two of my Layouts.

Guess who's been sick again, yeah me, this time it was a kidney infection which really knocked me for six, I haven't been out of the house for over two weeks, grrrrr I just decided I wasn't gonna be sick anymore, and my bloodwork came back with very high Liver enzymes, so yesterday at 5 pm I was in the hospital having a liver sonagram. Watch this space for results.

My other challenge is a health challenge, after my knee surgery, my health has not been great, and having nothing better to do, I made a list of all the things I felt were wrong with me, because I feel that my quality of life should be better than it is, I miss getting together with my friends, because I am so sore, and it tires me out so much, I can't plan any trips... so went to the Doctor today who is doing some extensive tests from Fybromyalgia to Rheumatoid Arthritis, to having my heart monitored for 24 hours, hopefully he'll get to the bottom of it, and I can start living my life again. Pray for me.

I recently made a canvas book, I started it with my friends and finished it over a course of weeks at home. These pages come in a beige canvas with some plastic page holders, I have alternated these.

Let me know what you think of my painted pages... These are a few of my favorite things

I love it... it has my children, my grandchildren, wedding day, puppy and of course the motor cycle, I look through this book and it makes me smile!!!! Most of my kids and my grandkids are in the Netherlands and I miss them so much.. e mail and text is good but its so easy to misunderstand, not like talking face to face.

Heaven can be found in taking a moment to play that brings forth such a well of happiness within, that you naturally wish to extend to others. Heaven can be found by making the choice to see yourself and this world in a new way: to look for the best that has always been apparent, but may have been obscured by the clouds of one's mind.

Today is launch day at CPC Challenges... Mine is in there too and here it is get over there and check it out, do the wonderful challenges, and support all the hard work my colleagues have done.

This is my challenge
Heritage Scrapbooking means honoring those who have come before you by documenting the stories of their lives.
The people in the photos are not only just old relatives, they show you who you are however indirectly, Heritage Scrapbooks help keep family history alive for future generations to explain their family history, and where they might have inherited their nose, eyes, hair color or even their sense of humor. By treasuring their stories and images, it is as if our relatives are still with us because we know something about their lives and the times in which they lived.

Many people are a little daunted by the idea of scrapping 'Old Pictures'. My challenge will perhaps help people to get started, each month I will focus on one technique that can be used on your Heritage Page, and this month we will focus on TAGS, which can be used as an embellishment on your page.

Here is a picture of various types of TAGS and a page using a TAG as an embellishment

CHALLENGE SHS01

Start off by using a Manilla tag or simply a piece of cardstock cut to size. Ink paint, chalk whatever is your preference, until you have the effect you require, you can stamp, decoupage, add embellishments such as flowers or buttons, again there is no right or wrong.

This is my challenge for September, you have a whole month to play with this and upload your TAGS using the SHS01 (so we know which challenge it refers to). I am so looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Saturday we went scrapping at a friends home... it was lovely, lovely company, lovely food, lovely scrapping... no hassles
I got a few LO's done which I was happy about, probably because its the most I have done in months at one time... thats what I mean I was so relaxed, it was easy.

Yesterday was Church and afterwards a picnic at Landmark Park, so when Keith got home from work we went there.

Someone was enjoting the Oreo cookies

Steve n Keith had a game of horseshoes

and as we were leaving, the sky was so beautiful I had to try and take a picture, and from a moving vehicle, it wasn't half bad.

I had time to play this week, with Beatriz and Melanie... we first of all made embellishments, flowers, leaves, gate, birdcage, locks, keys and swirls, all cut from Tim Holtz die cuts.... we embossed and painted colored and glazed, then we put some of them together on some tags

Then I made a layout using Paper Poppy Kit, these papers and embellishments in this kit are really nice.

I am beginning to pick up slowly, my recovery is not going as fast as I would like, I can usually get around with a cane now, but the result is, that my knee swells up and gets painful very quickly, for example I go to Physio and by the time I get back I need to sit with the knee up for 'bout 4 hrs then.

I would like to suggest that you join Christian Paper Crafts, shortly there will be a new section starting up there exclusively for Scrapbookers, you can upload your pics there, and starting in September, date still to be confirmed, will be loads of challenges for scrapbookers

Weekend fun

At long last I have done something to scrap, this weekend was a scrap at Paper Moon, and after a very good morning of Physio Friday, I felt well enough to go after lunch until dinner time... I didn't get very much done because, I was chatting and catching up with my friends, on Saturday I went in the afternoon also, (after sneaking out of the house and driving there myself he! he!) again I didn't get much done, but I did do some labels and one layout. I left about 3.30 and it was my intention to go back in the evening, but... hubby stopped off on his way home from work and picked up my stuff .. which is retrospect was a good thing, as I really did too much this weekend

and here is a layout of Yvano who was ready to support the Dutch National 11 in Soccer in the Quarter Final, I tried to age these a little to see how it would work in heritage style.

Yesterday after church, Siobhan and I joined the Pippins and their friends for lunch, and how enjoyable it was, and how lovely these people are. Have a wonderful blessed Monday, love y'all!

So after more than two weeks the urge to scrapbook is back... it's just after therapy I am so tired, that my personal goal fell completely flat, I had downloaded four of Liz Qualmans sketches, as I love doing those, I think it's too late to add them as challenges on the site... but hey I only managed to do one today, I was too tired and sore for anything else.

At last, two weeks after surgery, I am getting the urge to scrap, today I sat in my scrap room (or the dining room as most people know it), the room I share with my daughter, who has recently come to scrapbooking, and wow... she is better than me at so many things, I'm would have to fight hard to win against her if I wanted it to be a competition, but I don't ...I am happy to see her get better, and to win prizes as she has done two weeks after each other with the Paper Niche sketch, ttp://paperniche.blogspot.com/p/our-sketches.html and had a photo featured at http://scrapbookchallenges.ning.com/photo . She is the one who has held me up in my recuperation, she has helped me, encouraged me, been strict with me when necessary and has been a true friend amd loving daughter. I love you Vonnie.

For my scrapbook followers I apologize that I haven't been posting recently, I thought once I had my knee replacement, I would be able to put the old leg up and get scrapping, but its not as easy as that, firstly how many times you stand sit, turn and stretch even within the scrappin' area and, then there was my fall, which necessitated a trip to radiology twice, once for x rays once for a CT scan, to show that there is a fractured tailbone, which makes sitting difficult.

I get frustrated having to have people help me, also because I cannot do the things I want to do. I have to hold on to this.....

"Trust the LORD and his mighty power. Worship him always."

God has a plan for me, I have to be patient and see what it is.

Getting back in the saddle

Hi Peeps, well a week ago I went into Flowers Hospital in Dothan, for a full replacement on my left knee. Th surgery itself went as expected, and I was due to leave hospital on Friday, it was getting late in the day and they asked me if I wanted to get home or to stay til Saturday, when I could get and extra PT session, without hesitation I said I would stay till Saturday. When the surgeon came round on Saturday they discovered that I had blood clots, and was in hospital until yesterday late while the tried to get my blood thin enough to let me home, isn't it wonderful and what a testimony, that God found a way to keep me there until the DVT's were discovered, I could have gone home as planned, and may very well be dead at this moment, Hallelujah.

Yesterday Siobhan brought me some embellishments to play with.... pictures by way of my i phone, sorry for the quality.

Our local scrap booking store Paper Moon had their relaunch this weekend, we had lots of fun with a Friday and Saturday crop, lots of spot sales, and the introduction of the Design Team... Melanie, Karen and myself, some new teachers... in stamping is Tiffany and in Cricut and techniques Siobhan, of course Beatriz will still be doing what she does best also. So lots of excitement in store at the store, the next weekend crop will be in August.

Hello everyone and happy Thursday! It's time for another Scrappin' Silhouette as well as time to meet some of the designers who are going to be creating with the sketches and dazzling you with their paper-crafting talents.
We'll start with the Silhouette for the week:

Now, I'd like to introduce you to this week's Designers and share what they did with the Silhouette:

A few facts about who I am . . . I was born in Scotland, lived in the Netherlands for 16 years, came to Dothan AL recently from PA. ...I am married to an AWESOME man who puts up with my crafting addiction. I have three daughters, one son, the three eldest kids live in the Netherlands with my four grandchildren (Yvano, Conner, Maudi and Micky), my youngest daughter lives with me). I also have three step kids and one step grandbaby. Since coming to Dothan in April I do not work, apart from scrap booking he he!!
I have been scrap booking for about four years, although I have much more time for it now, what is my style mmmm I prefer simple clean lines with one or two pics, but I will try anything, on a layout or challenge, because it stretches me to think outside of the box.

My name is Molly and I am Air Force wife, stay at home mother to three and a paper addict. I have been married to my best friend for almost 15 years and we have a
12 year old daughter, 7 year old son and 6 year old daughter. We
also have two four legged kiddos - a 12 year old black cat and 8 year old black
lab.

We currently live in Isleham, England, although I am rarely at home - usually carpooling kids some where or touring around Europe. I have been involved in all things paper crafty for most of my life - even scrapbooking most of my high school and college stuff in (gasp) magnetic books with construction paper but really got into "safe" scrapbooking when my oldest was born. My husband's career has enabled us to move often and be able to see lots
of things - our travels, our kids, his runs (he is a marathoner), and Lou the
waterbuffalo tend to be the topic of my scrapbooks, but when I sit down at the
desk I never know what is going to happen!

I am excited to be a part of Scrappin' Silhouette's Design Team. Jennipher has already challenged me with a few of the sketches and I am anxious to see what she has in store for the rest of the year! I hope you have fun playing along and that I can inspire you in some way!

Rebekah Doak Hi! I'm Bekah and I am so excited to be joining Jennipher and the Scrappin' Silhouettes design team! I have been married for 10 years and have 2 beautiful and spirited daughters. By profession I am an Early Intervention Specialist/ABA tutor working with children with autism. On the side I help others preserve their memories as a “scrapper for hire”. If you like what you see and would like me to help you with your albums, please contact me!

I guess I started scrapping back in high school. I loved cutting out pictures and words from magazines and gluing them along side of pictures of me and my friends in an album. I began “true” scrapbooking in 2000 when I went to a Creative Memories class. Since then I have developed a love of all things papercrafting! Scrapbooking remains my favorite activity so that I have something tangible to leave my daughters that shows the love our family has. I have an eclectic style, sometimes vintage, sometimes clean, sometimes art-journal inspired. I love the process of trying different techniques, tools, materials and styles as much as the final product, and I hope to give you some great ideas using Scrappin' Silhouettes!

Hello all you scrappers! I have returned to my home state of Florida after retiring completely from work, buying a home with room to have all to myself for scraping and stamping. Taking my widow's benefits and what I have felt from my retirement investments, I can indulge my addiction to rubber, ink and paper. I've been a photographer and keeper of photos since childhood. For 15 years I have made scrapbooks. Just 5 ish years ago I was introduced to rubber stamps and card making. Since moving at the end of last year my scrapbooking has really kicked up several notches. I explore styles and techniques to try on my pages, really evolving and freeing myself to scrap in whatever look attracts me at the time. So, that means I'm a bit of a techy and an eclectic scrapper. The hardest design chore for me is the sketch. Without them I tend to place every piece in the same place. I am loving being part of Scrappin' Silhouettes!

My name is Stacey. I'm a mother of a pair....Allison 21 and Ian Derek 18. For the past 13 years, I have been sharing my life with a wonderful man, who supports me in all my passions and decisions.
This "addiction" for scrapbooking and papercrafting started last summer, when I attended a workshop of a scrapbooking supply company in a co-workers home. I fell in love with is so fast!! This is the way I use to bring down my levels of "stress". I love this. I have been participating in every workshop I can, and I attended the Scrapbook Expo this past May in FL.

Our big weekend starts this Thursday at 9:00 am!!! We are soooo excited! We've got lots of cool things planned....and everythings so organized it's almost scary!!!!

I have some last minute details that I hope answers everyone's questions.....

We are very lucky....we have McCallister's Deli on the premises. It is very nice of them to come to our event and they will be serving awesome foot at reasonable prices! For lunch you will have a choice of Sandwiches and soups. We are going to be having something different every night....Pastalaya Thursday, Red Beans and Rice on Friday and Lasagna on Saturday. We are also having a snack and coke/water bar. We are also trying to get an ice Tea Machine. My kids Cassidy and Dakota will be working the booth trying to earn a little extra summer money! I'm really kind of excited to have them there!!! It make my weekend that much more fun!

The menu will be located in your registration packets and by the concession stand.

You can also bring your own ice chests into the building as long as it doesn't interfere with other people's spots are is not in the way of aisles. (I guess that means a small ice chest).

Coffee - we will be having complimentary coffee. If you can, please bring your coffee mugs with lids. This will not only help with the cost of paper cups, but if it gets knocked over it won't destroy you or your neighbors scrapbook area.

Spaces available:

We have a few spots open for individual parties. If you sign up now, you will not be able to request to sit with anyone in particular. If you want to come on Thursday, we still have spots available for a group of 4 people.

Shopping

If you are not attending the event, you are more than welcome to come shopping at the event. I know we have lots of new things that I haven't had time to put on my website. Simply Scrappin and Scrapalicious will be there too. I heard they ordered all kinds of cool things too! We also have an awesome Stampin Up rep at the event if you need anything from Stampin Up. Scrapbook Gal will be there on Friday evening and Saturday to sell her Scrapping PJ's, shirts and jackets.

**Everyone attending the event will have a large bag on their table. Please bring the bag for shopping. You can leave the bag with your goodies and we'll key it in and bring it back to your table.

Kitz

Our Summer Kitz will be available for purchase at the event. It's titled "A Splash of Summer"! I will be posting pictures on our website before the event. We will sell them at the event and then take orders online for the next round. The cost will be $35 for supplies for both layouts and instructions....

Also, the Disney Kitz are ready to be picked up. We have a few left to sell at the event also.

T-Shirts
The t-shirts are going to be really cool! Everyone who paid a registration fee will get a free t-shirt. We will have additional shirts on sale for $25 each. I also ordered the lightweight jackets with hoods. These jackets are awesome. I think I have 5 of them! I wear them all the time! The Jackets are $45 and are fitted. We have them in the sizes XL - 3X. I didn't order many, so if you want one, please make sure you buy them early. They go pretty fast.

Event Hours
The Event will open at 9 am Thursday and close at 1:00 pm Sunday.
We will closing at midnight every night and opening back up at 9:00 am each morning.

Check In
Please check in at the registration table when you get there. You will be giving your packet which includes your t-shirt, Class tickets, make and take ticket and drawing tickets.

***Watch out for the little frog!!! The frog has a number on it which will be used for drawing! We will have drawings every 2 hours for scrapbooking goodies!!!

The packet will also include an agenda of the whole weekend and a menu of the deli.

We will have one big drawing every night. You will have a pink, blue & purple ticket in your packet. Make sure you put your ticket in the jar each day at the Registration table.

Make and Take Ticket - Please present your make and take ticket at the TM Make and Take Booth to do the make and take. The make and take is sponsored by Pink Paislee...and you will leave with a cute one page layout and lots of cool techniques!
**times of make and take are Friday & Saturday from 10 am - 1 pm.
**There are no "make and take" kits available. You must participate in the make and take to get the make and take.

Classes

We still have a few classes that have spots available. If you want to sign up for a class, we will have the class display in the lobby. Please go to the TM store booth and pay for the class. We will issue you a class ticket.

I love doing challenges, it stretches me and makes me do things I wouldn't normally do, sometimes that is a good thing and sometimes it isn't, you know what I mean, sometimes you do a Layout which makes you happy, and other times you feel like it's not quite right, or it needs something else added, (or taken away for that matter), I've only once thrown the whole LO in the trash, because I feel you learn from each one you do.

it was a one page LO but I did a double.

This is a LO from Liz Qualman which I loved, and wanted to do a page like it. She is so brilliant.

I don't know about everyone else, the problem I have is keeping track of all the challenges, I check the blogs I follow every day, (almost) and download the challenges to my desktop, (also write them in a notebook), where I rename them with the date they are due, then print them out, but I still manage to get confused, by the time I am sitting scrapbooking I am doing them in the order I like instead of by time, so I always miss some deadlines, how bad is that!!! If anyone has any tips please let me know..... or leave me some love anyway.

As I previously mentioned my daughter Siobhan, has just started scrapbooking, I mean less than a week and she has done about seven layouts total. Here is one of her double page layouts.

I am so proud of my children, and how they have all a little piece of my artist genes is some way, I scrapbook, take photos and paint, Jacquie (@jacquies blog) is a digital scrapbooker, and makes wonderful word art and jewellery.

Diane is a fantastic photographer, and my son Stuart is learning the bagpipes he is very good already but it takes years to learn properly, (this music gene is probably from my father who was a brilliant pianist), and now Siobhan doing scrapbooking too, my cup runneth over.

Isn't it funny how much you rely on your computer, and internet.... from Sunday to Tuesday our internet was intermittent, and from Tuesday to Monday... NO Internet!!!, I have been miserable, not able to write my blog, considering I have only been doing it for two months, that was a surprise, but worst of all I couldn't check up on all the blogs that I follow, and was too late for most of the challenges that I usually do.

We have been having internet problems first the cable company had an outage now there is something wrong with our home network, ...thank goodness for Barnes and Nobel.

Tuesday I took Siobhan with me scrapbooking at Paper Moon, she did two layouts with me, with NO HELP.. all I can say is I am very proud of her.

And now the big news..... Tata tarata ta

As of the end of of July I wil be part of the design team on Scrappin' Silhouettes, and (another drum roll) I will be on the design team for the all new Firefly Beads and Scrapping ( or Paper Moon) as was and is. I feel so blessed to be chosen - twice!

One more piece of news I was at the bone doctor today, I thought he was gonna tell me I needed knee surgery, to my surprise, he told me I needed two knee surgeries and one hip surgery, our discussion was not about if it should happen but which one should come first. My first surgery is scheduled for Juy 20th, which mean I will be a little groggy for my birthday celebrations on the 31st July so I think I will postpone it for a while, till I feel better.

Anyway I will be back on Monday night or Tuesday, whenever they get my internet at home up and running.

Within two weeks of my move to Alabama, I met Beatriz, who has become very close to me, she is a wonderful lady, a great spiritual support, a genuine sweetheart, and I love her very much.

She and her husband Steve took me on a tour of the town and surrounding areas one day, and this picture was taken near the Civic Center in Dothan (we were both taking pictures to scrap ha ha).

My daughter went on a trip to Switzerland with the school in 1998 when she was 12... the photos she took were not that great but meant a lot to her. They hve been from England to Holland from Holland to the US, and in the US from Pittsburgh to Kentucky, back to Pittsburgh and finally here in Alabama I rescued them, removed the brown tape from them and made a double page layout of them, here is one page.

Hi All

Well a busy week, is behind me, I was in Pittsburgh to get my daughter and drive with her in her vehicle down here to Dothan. She had an appointment with her specialist to follow up on a knee MRI, that was luckily good news, no major damage. no surgery required, just a lot of inflammation, a cortisone shot helped it feel somewhat better. The next morning at 6a.m we started driving via Cincinatti, Louisville,

Memphis, Birmingham and arriving in Dothan at 10 pm

Sooooo to get back to the scrapbooking, Joey is my daughters boyfriend, nd he was working on his car for the first time, with instruction from Keith, I wanted to scrapbook this using some metal things as embellishment. They are 'enjoying each others company'..... it's a guy thing.

...yes the mice will play :) My mum asked me to blog for her while she is away.... So here i am. Let me tell you a little about me. I am Sandies oldest daughter. I am married and we have one son called Yvano and we live in Holland. I am a digiscrapper, yes an addict :) I also make jewellery and work 4 days a week.

My 5.30 am flight was cancelled today so I had a little bit of time and I wanted to share this with y'all, paper flowers....

I used 1 disc 1 1/2" - 8 of 1 1/18", double sided paper, (I used some scrap), fold two sides into a point ....

Then stick them onto the larger circle

I added a 3/4" circle on top. Mine coulda been better, but hey I gotta plane to catch.... Bye y'all Love Ya!!

My days have been full of doing nothing, Friday I thought I would take a day off from scrapbooking, and clean house, but, it didn't get done..... I wasn't feeling too great in the morning, I think, too much sun at the farmers market, so I kinda forced myself to go get my love, his fathers day gift, (a leather jacket for riding his motor cycle). I popped in to Paper Moon for five minutes to see how the other girls were doing at their scrapping. Lunch and then time to meet hubby at the Drs. by the time I got home and make his meal, it was time to go to the Scrapbooking Ministry at the church, this is the only results, my Puppies at play. I spend too much time fellowshipping.

Saturday was card classes at the library, I made two for Keith for fathers day, and one waterfall card, which nearly reduced me to tears, it was so hot in the room, and I was getting so frustrated, because I couldn't get it to work out, this is something I will try again in the cool of my scrapping zone.

So when I came back hubby was home from work, I gave him his fathers day cards and gift (yes I know its next week, but he will be up in Pittsburgh moving my daughters furniture down here). Thats why I am going up on Tuesday to drive down with Siobhan in her car. Thats why Beatriz and Jacquie will blog for me next week.

Thursday started off pretty normal, going to scrap with friends. I managed to get two layouts done -one of Siobhan, my daughters photo in Black and White, which just goes to show me that she is really growing up.

I dis my second LO with addition from Jacquie, my eldest daughter Jacquie does digiscrapping, make jewellery, makes word art (for digiscrappers) on her blog, and in between she had an active five year old and husband to look after, and oh yes... she works too. Well I downloaded a word art from her, printed it out, and cut around it and amalgamated this on my page of Yvano (her son). Check out her blog '@Jacquies'.

The rest of the day, I went to the Farmers Market which is Held at the Church every Thursday afternoon, my daughter called to say she had to have an MRI on her knee today with a follow up next week Wednesday afternoon, which is about the time we should be in the middle of driving her down here to Alabama from Pittsburgh, which reminds me next week Beatriz and Jacquie will be blogging for me as I will be away most of the week.

Yesterday evening we had a BBQ, with some very dear friends, we were supposed to be having it in the local park, but then we discovered, that there were no BBQ's there, so we came to our place an FEASTED of some lovely fresh corn and some wonderful chicken mmmmmmmm!!! Thanks Steve it was very much appreciated.

My youngest grandson Yvano when he was born, made an ideal subjext for Pink Elephants Challenge #11. He is a boy now 4 1/2// and he loves his crocs. I couldn't find a croc I liked and my friend Amanda cut it out for me using SCAL.

Now off for another day (well half a day) of scrapbooking - I love not working!!!

This weekend we had some fun.... my husby went off to play golf, something he has only played a few times, but he dragged Bea's hubby as well, who has never played before... and guess who won..... yep you guessed Steve won... just call him 'Tiger'.

Today was church, and it was awesome!!!!! Afterwards was supposed to be a ride with the Motor Cycle Ministry - a group of guys who go to our church, who ride, and we get together with them occasionally to share a hobby.... oh oh it was raining pretty heavy so it was too dangerous to go... oh well better luck next time.

I haven't blogged for a few days now, one day I was scrapbooking at a dear friends house for the afternoon, the next day we went out for the day to play tourist, which was lovely, and this morning I managed to scratch my cornea, so I haven't been able to scrap today. Soooo I took some photos of an album I have been working on since September, it's not finished yet, of a wedding we were invited to in Montana, Mike and Heidi are in the Air Force in Omaha Heidi comes from Montana and mike come from Holland, his dad is American and has been my husbands buddy since the year dot, when there were young uns in the Air Force together.
